New in 2016

There are a few changes to the Buffalo Stampede event for 2017. These changes are purely to ensure a more free flowing experience for runners while keeping everyone as safe as possible.

The Buffalo Stampede Ultra SkyMarathon

* Bakers and Buckland Aid stations removed – Clearspot aid station added.

In the interest of safety and best spectatorability! – the aid station at Buckland has been removed. It has been replaced with the LaSportiva Aid station at Clearspot. LaSportiva will be hosting this aid station and it will be fully equipped for spectators with amazing coffee and great food! Bring your sunscreen!!

* Buckland Valley Closed to spectators

Due to the speed which cars travel the Buckland Rd – this aid area is off limits to spectators. We encourage you to go to Eurobin and Clearspot instead. Last year the dust and traffic was horrific for the runners and with them in mind – we wont repeat that experience for them.

* Warner’s Walls have been renamed

To reflect the carnage of the Walls – and the family tradition of having a little rest on them – the Walls will now be known as “Duffus Drop”.

* Kids event are on all days!

Check out the schedule for kids events.

The Buffalo Stampede SkyMarathon

* The Marathon is now a downhill event – it will start on top of Mt Buffalo and finish in Howitt Park in Bright!
This will ensure all runners get to run into Bright and enjoy a heroes welcome in the most beautiful town in Victoria.
